Terms of Service

By accessing or using BuildRated ("Service"), operated by CommunityPay, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

BuildRated provides a contractor directory and reputation platform for governed environments such as homeowners associations (HOAs) and community associations. The Service includes:

• Contractor profiles with license, insurance, and bond data from public records
• Evidence-based compliance scoring
• Verified and public review systems
• Service request (RFQ) submission and notification
• Profile claim and verification

When claiming a contractor profile, you represent that you have the authority to manage the business profile. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of information associated with your claimed profile.

By providing a phone number when claiming a profile, you consent to receive SMS messages from BuildRated at the number provided. Messages include:

• One-time verification codes for identity confirmation
• Service request notifications when an HOA submits an RFQ to your business

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of using the Service or claiming a profile.

BuildRated aggregates contractor data from public sources including the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries. This data is publicly available and is displayed to help consumers make informed decisions. BuildRated does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of public records data.

Users may submit reviews of contractors. Reviews must be truthful and based on genuine experience. BuildRated reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these terms, contain defamatory content, or appear fraudulent.

You agree not to:

• Claim a profile you are not authorized to manage
• Submit false or misleading reviews
• Use the Service to harass or defame any person or business
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the Service without permission
• Interfere with the operation of the Service

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. BuildRated does not warrant the accuracy of contractor data, scores, or reviews. BuildRated is not a substitute for your own due diligence when hiring a contractor.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildRated and CommunityPay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
