BuildRated, operated by CommunityPay, collects information you provide directly when you use our services:

• Business Information — Business name, license number, address, phone number, and email when you claim a contractor profile.
• Contact Information — Name, email address, and phone number when you submit a claim, review, or service request.
• Public Records — Contractor license data, insurance status, and bond information from the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries and other public sources.
• Usage Data — Pages visited, search queries, and interaction data to improve our services.

• Display contractor profiles with compliance and reputation data
• Verify contractor profile claims via email and SMS
• Send service request notifications to contractors
• Generate compliance scores and evidence-based ratings
• Improve our services and user experience

When you provide a phone number during the profile claim process, you may receive SMS messages from BuildRated for:

• Verification codes — A one-time 6-digit code to verify your identity during profile claims.
• Service request alerts — Notifications when an HOA or property manager submits a service request to your business.

Message frequency: Verification codes are sent once per claim. Service request alerts are sent as they occur (typically 0-5 per month).

Opting out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving SMS. Reply HELP for support. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• Public profiles — Contractor business information, license status, compliance data, and reviews are publicly visible on BuildRated.
• Service providers — We use AWS for SMS delivery and email services.
• Legal requirements — When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
• CommunityPay platform — Contractor data may be shared with the CommunityPay platform for vendor management by HOAs that use CommunityPay.

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive data, and access controls to protect your information.

Public contractor data (license status, compliance records) is retained as long as the contractor profile exists. Personal contact information provided during claims is retained for the duration of the claim and profile ownership. You may request deletion by contacting us.
